Cold and Starting problems

Hello,
Just got a 1999 Savage, and everything is good, except, its late febuary and 33 degrees this morning. It wouldn't start...had to get a lift to work...something that happens alot or no? This is the second time the cold seems to have effected it. Any advice would be great!
